Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 24 July 2024.
Data Destination Alerts
- Users with permission to configure alerts can now configure error alerts for Data Destinations through the Preferences page. Simply go to your User Account > Preferences and follow the prompts to make your selections. (ref 16435)
Admin Improvements
- The default session timeout period, this is when the user will be automatically logged out of the One Model platform, has been reduced from 30 minutes to 20 minutes of inactivity. This default setting can be adjusted by going to Admin > Company. If you already have a default value set that is lower than 20 minutes then this will be retained and you shouldn’t need to do anything. (ref 20618)
User Experience Improvements
- We made some UI improvements in the Define Panel for a better user experience. Updates include:
- Removal of blue section icons.
- Introduction of collapsible sections.
- Resizing and right-aligning the "Add" button.
- Updating action buttons to 'Run & Preview Query' and 'Update on Storyboard.'
- Changing 'Cancel' to an "x" icon at the top right of the Define Panel. (ref 19134)
- We have updated table functionality so that the column shading for table totals is applied even when the column is blank. (ref 20456)
- Any newly created basic charts and pie charts will have custom legends enabled by default. If this is not desired, custom legends can be turned off via Tile Settings > Legend. (ref 19665)
- We also fixed a bug where when grouping was enabled for Custom Legends and position was Right/Left, the legends would default to multiple columns instead of a single column taking on unnecessary space. (ref 20582)
Data Processing Improvements
- We've found that SuccessFactors can be down for release or maintenance for up to 5.5 hours, so we've extended the amount of time to automatically retry SuccessFactors API Runs when they're down for maintenance to 8 hours. (ref 20565)
- We’ve significantly improved the performance of Consolidation Tasks for our SuccessFactors connector by moving some of the Data Transformation logic to the earlier (Data Extraction) tasks. This will reduce the maximum processing time for any one task in the SuccessFactors connector. (ref 19556)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We fixed a bug in the storyboard filters' search function that caused duplicate results to appear for companies with multiple active indices. The search function now prioritizes the most recent active index for results. Additionally, we have added a warning message for companies with multiple indices. (ref 19901)
- Fixed an issue where the SuccessFactors connector could error because the temporary API Token had expired. We've now fixed this so that a new temporary API Token will be requested. (ref 19017)
- Fixed an issue where adding a new schedule to a File Data Source could cause that Data Source to stop accepting new files. (ref 17890)
