This article explains how to connect One Model data to Power BI. Please also read the article on connecting to Redshift as Power BI uses the Redshift Connector to connect with the One Model database.
For specific details on your Redshift cluster, please work with a member of the One Model Support Team.
Step 1 - Open Options and Settings
Open the sidebar menu and go to the bottom of the page and select Options and Settings. Then select Data Source Settings.
Then select Data Source Settings.
Step 2 - Get data from another source
Click the link that says “Get data from another source —>”
Step 3 - Select Amazon Redshift
Scroll down the list until you see Amazon Redshift. Click the link.
Step 4 - Enter URL
In the pop-up window, enter the URL for the Redshift database server cluster.
For example “jdbc:redshift://examplecluster.abc123xyz789.us-west-2.redshift.amazonaws.com:5439/dev”
Enter the database name
Step 5 - Enter database username and password
Enter the database username and password. This is an assigned redshift database user and will not be a credentialed One Model user.
Step 6 - Connect
Click Connect
Start Querying!
