User Experience Improvements
- Now you can adjust your label sizes for both X and Y axis on Basic Charts in the Design panel of the Visualisation Settings panel. This helps to make your labels more easily readable, especially when copying a chart into a presentation. (ref 21112)
- Users can now enable Split Time functionality directly within the Define panel. This feature aligns with Explore’s split logic but offers an improved UI, making it easier to configure time-based splits. When exactly two time levels are selected, the Split option is available to toggle On/Off. If toggled On, a "split node" is displayed, showing a linked split chip in the opposite dimension section. This linked split chip can only be modified through the master chip, ensuring a streamlined and intuitive split configuration experience. (ref 20159)
- We have made some UI enhancements to improve user interactions within the Visualisation Settings panel. The Design, Discover, and Describe tabs, along with the Update on Storyboard button, are now disabled until the query is run. Primary actions, like Run & Preview, are highlighted to guide users, with inline notifications provided where needed. (ref 21723)
- We have enhanced error handling in the Define panel so that, if an issue occurs, it no longer closes the Storyboard abruptly. This update improves stability and keeps your work readily available as you create and edit queries. (ref 21773)
- We have added hover-over text for Storyboard names in the header bar. Users can now hover over a Storyboard name to view the full title, making it easier to read and understand lengthy names that get truncated. (ref 21796)
- We have added a warning message in the Define panel for when queries are too large to display. The message now guides users to refine the query or to use ‘Update to Storyboard’ to export the full results, ensuring consistency with the message shown in the tile. (ref 21889)
One AI
- We’ve expanded the flexibility of reference lines in Storyboards. Previously, users could add a single reference line, either as an average or a static value. Now, you can add multiple reference lines, allowing any combination of an average line and one or more static values on the same chart. This update lets users compare metrics against multiple benchmarks or goals simultaneously, providing a more detailed and comprehensive analysis. Customize each line’s label, color, and type, and easily delete lines when needed. (ref 3530)
- Admins can now access usage statistics for reference lines, providing insight into how frequently they are added to Storyboards and by whom. This data allows teams to understand the feature's adoption and value within their organization. (ref 3580)
- A forecasting indicator has been added to One AI Assistant and the Storyboard Define panel to enhance transparency during forecasting tasks. This indicator, displayed above the chart, signals to users when a forecast is running, letting them know that results are being generated. (ref 3594)
- A vertical divider line now separates the collapsible query panel and chart area in One AI Assistant, for a cleaner, more organized look. (ref 3606)
Data Processing Improvements
- We improved support for smaller screen sizes by moving to icons for the buttons in the Processing Scripts page. (ref 21175)
- We've added some warnings in Processing Scripts to discourage users from creating Relationships that use SQL Functions. Removing these functions from Relationships will reduce the amount of processing that needs to happen in the database at Query time, and therefore improve query performance. (ref 19907)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We have resolved an issue where forecasting was not available in the Storyboard Define panel when creating a new basic chart. (ref 21915)
- We have fixed a bug where the Bulk User Upload was case sensitive in email addresses and would error if a userID had different case letters. Now, the system will recognize the same email address whether they match exactly or with a combination of upper and lower case letters. (ref 22167)
- Fixed an issue where a user couldn't delete the last alert they had configured, thereby never being able to remove all alerts for them as a user. (ref 21873)
- We have fixed an issue where updating an existing tile with a custom color palette caused the color palette to revert to the default palette. Users can now update tiles without losing their custom color settings. (ref 22155)
- We have fixed a bug where the Users and Admin Reports pages were showing a back navigation to Home Page. Users can navigate to the Home page by clicking on the Logo or Home tab. (ref 21736)
- We have added the back navigation button when opening a tile in Explore from Home Page. (ref 21962)
- We fixed a bug where the cursor failed to change after closing the Describe tab on the Visualization Settings Panel. (ref 22021)
- We fixed a bug where the X axis title would persist despite being toggled off. Now the X axis appears and disappears as intended. (ref 22064)
