Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 19 February 2025.
One AI
- Creating a scatter plot chart is now much easier thanks to One AI Assistant! In this release, scatter plot charts as well as guidance for how to create them have been incorporated into the assistant. For example, prompting for "[metric 1] and [metric 2] by [dimension] on a scatter plot" will generate a scatter plot. If you do not include all of the attributes in your prompt, guidance for how to make the remaining selections is provided. (ref 3717)
- The Export Chart button in One AI Assistant has been relocated next to Pin To and both buttons have been replaced with icons for a more intuitive and streamlined user experience. (refs 22497, 3768)
- Tables can now be exported from One AI Assistant as CSV files. When the data visualization type is set to List Table or any other visualization type is toggled to Table above the chart, the Export button below the chart area changes from “Export Chart” to “Export CSV”. For a user to export to CSV, they must belong to an Application Access Role with the CanExportCSV permission checked. (ref 3587)
- The logic for associating selections with dimensions has been improved in One AI Assistant. If a dimension name is specified in a prompt along with the specific selection(s), the selection(s) will be made from that dimension. (ref 3767)
- We added the capability to automatically display the value as part of the label on Reference Lines. (ref 3754)
User Experience Improvements
- The Funnel and Sankey Charts now include the Disable Storyboard Filters option in the Tile Settings menu, allowing users to easily toggle storyboard filters on or off. This enhancement provides a consistent experience across chart types and improves filter control within storyboards. (ref 22866 and 22867)
- The ordering of Storyboard filters now matches the dimension ordering consistently, aligning with node levels for better organization and usability when using the search box in Storyboard filters. (ref 22545)
-
We updated the permissions for accessing Storyboard Edit Mode > Tile Settings and the query pane in One AI Assistant to improve access control and separate query editing permissions across Explore, Storyboards, and One AI Assistant.
Previously, the CanExploreData permission controlled access to the Explore page, Tile Settings in Storyboard Edit Mode, and the query pane in One AI Assistant.
Now we have separated these permissions as follows:
- CanExploreData only controls access to the Explore page.
- CanCreateDashboard allows users to create or modify queries within Storyboards.
- CanAccessOneAIAssistant grants access to view and edit queries in One AI Assistant (Define | Design | Discover | Describe tabs). Note that you will need CanCreateDashboard to Pin to Storyboard. (ref 3672)
Data Processing Improvements
- We have removed some Processing Script Validation Warnings that would show if a user compared a field to a hard-coded number (for example: where my_column = 1). These filters were found to be not useful because they don’t help to prevent script processing errors. (ref 22964)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We fixed an issue where multiple tile menu options could remain open while editing a Storyboard. Menus now close automatically when switching between tiles, enhancing the editing flow. (ref 21437)
- We resolved a problem where the background color was not included in the exported image when using the 'Export Chart' option. Charts now export with the correct background color as displayed in the Storyboard. (ref 22134)
- We introduced a constraint to prevent percentile Reference Lines from being displayed on charts containing multiple metrics. (ref 3776)
- We resolved an issue with One AI Assistant where exporting a chart could include an incorrect prompt on the image. (ref 3795)
- We addressed a bug with Generative Attributes in One AI Recipes that was causing list controls to open behind the modal. (ref 3808)
- A bug that was making it possible for a forecast to run and alter data on non-time series charts was addressed. This bug was manifesting itself when queries were altered on tiles containing a forecast without disabling the forecast first. The forecasting configuration option was being hidden as designed but the forecast itself was running in the background. (ref 3805)
