Storyboard Navigation in One AI Assistant

We're excited to introduce Storyboard navigation in One AI Assistant. This expansion of One AI Assistant’s capabilities makes finding and accessing your Storyboards in One Model easier. Simply ask for a Storyboard or dashboard along with a description and a list of potential matches will be provided. Details are provided for additional context, including the storyboard category, description, and page names. Selecting a Storyboard from the results will navigate you to it.

Using Storyboard Navigation

To see Storyboard results, simply include any of the following keywords in your prompt in One AI Assistant:

• Storyboard
• Story board
• Dashboard
• Dash board

Examples:

• Show me Storyboards about employee retention
• Do I have dashboards about hiring?
• Movement storyboards

If matches are found, One AI Assistant will return a list of relevant Storyboards instead of running a query. If no matches are found, a message will be displayed letting you know that no results were found and suggest trying different keywords. Selecting a Storyboard from the list will navigate you directly to it and minimize One AI Assistant.

How it Works

One AI Assistant now recognizes the context of each request. Currently, there are two available contexts: queries and Storyboards. Using the Storyboard keywords described in the previous section will return Storyboard results, while all other prompts will generate query results. You can expect to see additional contexts in the future.

Storyboard navigation introduces a powerful new hybrid search algorithm to One AI Assistant, combining both text-based and vector-based searching. This approach optimizes the accuracy of results by considering both direct text matches and contextual relevance. Storyboard titles, descriptions, and page names are all searchable.

Your One Model Administrator can easily control which Storyboards are searchable in One AI Assistant, just as they do with metrics and dimensions. Additionally, Storyboards that are not shared with the user making the request will not appear in the results.

Configuration

Controlling Access to Storyboard Navigation

Access to Storyboard navigation requires the following:

• One AI Assistant must be enabled for your company. See Permissioning One AI Assistant for further details.
• Users must have access to One AI Assistant. This is controlled by the Application Access Role permission CanAccessOneAIAssistant.
• Users must also have access to Storyboard Navigation. This is controlled by the Application Access Role permission CanAccessOneAIAssistantStoryboards.

Controlling Access to Configure Storyboard Navigation

Configuring Storyboard navigation follows the same general process as configuring One AI Assistant. The ability to modify One AI Assistant’s configuration is controlled by the Application Access Role permission CanConfigureOneAI, which is typically granted only to site administrators.

Configuring Storyboard Navigation

For One Model site administrators, configuring Storyboard navigation is as easy as selecting the Storyboards you would like One AI Assistant to have access to. Unshared Storyboards are all-or-nothing—if the Unshared Storyboards option is checked, users will still only see their own unshared Storyboards in One AI Assistant.

Steps to Configure Storyboard Navigation:

1. Access the Configuration Screen

   • Users with an Application Access Role that includes the CanConfigureOneAI permission will see a One AI Configuration option in the Admin menu on the navigation ribbon.
   • Click One AI Configuration to load the configuration screen.

2. Select Storyboards for One AI Assistant

   • Scroll to the Vector Configuration section.
   • Expand the Storyboards category.
   • Select the Storyboards you would like One AI Assistant to have access to. You can choose individual Storyboards or entire sections.
   • If Unshared Storyboards is selected, all unshared Storyboards will be available to One AI Assistant, but only to their respective owners.

3. Save and Sync

   • Click the Save button for the Vector Configuration section.
   • Syncing Storyboards to One AI Assistant may take a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the volume of Storyboards being updated.

What’s Next for Storyboard Navigation?

As with One AI Assistant in general, the release of Storyboard navigation is just the beginning. The One Model team is actively working to expand this capability, including tapping into Insight Packs for richer content discovery. Future releases will bring even more enhancements to how you navigate and interact with your content in One Model.
