One AI Assistant Insights

One AI Assistant Insights automatically analyzes your data and surfaces key findings. It highlights trends, outliers, and patterns in the chart or table you’re viewing, so you can understand results quickly without exporting data or running manual calculations.

How It Works

1. Data Analysis: One AI reviews the chart or table data using One Model’s Insights Engine. Insight statements are generated based on predefined criteria, and the underlying calculations are retained. Your data does not leave One Model’s infrastructure during this step.
2. Ranking: A Large Language Model (LLM) ranks the insights from most to least interesting. Only the top five are shown. The LLM receives the insight text only, not the raw data.
3. Recommendations: A separate LLM generates business recommendations for each insight after ranking. This capability can be separately permissioned from the rest of Insights.
4. Display: Insight statements, recommendations, and calculations are displayed below the query results in One AI Assistant. Users can look through the insights using the arrows. 

Permissions

Access to One AI Assistant Insights requires access to One AI Assistant. See the One AI Assistant Configuration Guide for details about setup.

Access to One AI Assistant Insights is controlled by the Application Access Role permission CanAccessOneAIAssistantInsights.

Recommendations are controlled separately by the Application Access Role CanAccessOneAIAssistantInsightRecommendations.

How to Use

1. Simply click the Show Insights icon below the chart or table in One AI Assistant. The icon is only visible to users with access to Insights. 
2. Insights display in a section below the query result.
   

   • Select Show Work to see the calculations behind the insight.

   • Use the arrows to move between insights.

   • Insights are cleared when you submit a new prompt or re-run the query.

Note: Insights are not available for the Key Value visualization type.

Troubleshooting

• No insights shown:
  • Check if your chart type is Key Value (not supported).
  • Some data may not meet criteria for generating any of the available insight types.
• Unexpected Results:

  • Double check that chart settings match your intended analysis.

  • Review the “Show Work” details to understand the calculations.
