One AI
- We are pleased to introduce Insights in One AI Assistant, our new data analysis tool. Insights evaluates your data in One AI Assistant and automatically generates essential observations. This enables you to swiftly identify trends, detect anomalies, and recognize underlying patterns—eliminating the need for extensive manual analysis of complex visualizations. Key benefits include the following (ref 3741):
- Quick Analysis: Performs comparisons, reveals noteworthy trends, and highlights outliers in seconds.
- Accurate Results You Can Trust: View the calculations used to derive the insights.
- Actionable Insights: Offers business recommendations based on your data.
- Ease of Use: No need for advanced analytics skills.
- We’re excited to unveil an expansion of One AI Assistant’s capabilities with the introduction of Storyboard Navigation. This feature simplifies the process of locating and accessing specific Storyboards. Simply request a Storyboard or dashboard by providing a description, and a curated list of potential matches—complete with additional context such as category, description, and page names—will be presented. Selecting a Storyboard from the results will seamlessly navigate you to it. (ref 20689)
- Metric, dimension, and calendar selections can now be displayed above the visualization in One AI Assistant, providing immediate clarity on the data presented. This configurable feature offers multiple display options: selections can be always visible (the default setting), visible only when the query panel is hidden, or not displayed at all. Adjust these settings via the One AI Configuration screen. (refs 3122, 3830)
- As of this release, the query panel to the right of the chart or table in One AI Assistant can be configured to be expanded (the default) or collapsed when displaying results. The panel can still be expanded and collapsed manually regardless of the configured loading behavior. (ref 3822)
- We updated the feedback text in One AI Assistant to read “Is this the result you expected?”. (ref 3806)
- We added logic so that One AI Assistant tries to choose dimension nodes from dimensions already selected. If you submit a prompt like “headcount in the United States and Canada”, it tries to choose both countries from the same dimension instead of possibly mixing two different dimensions. (ref 3798)
- One AI Assistant now identifies prompts containing "correlates with" as a scatter plot chart type. (ref 3807)
- We improved recognition of different month name designations as well as month ranges in One AI Assistant. (ref 3833)
- We tuned the similarity threshold for metric and dimension recognition in One AI Assistant. (ref 3847)
- Fine tuning was performed in One AI Assistant to better handle certain word patterns for metric recognition. (ref 3829)
User Experience Improvements
- The Define selection process has been improved by removing the repeated table name from column selections. While the table name remains in the configuration screen for troubleshooting, it no longer appears in the selection screen, simplifying search and aligning with Explore. (ref 20805)
- Introducing a new, improved, and centralized way to manage Chart Color Palettes, bringing enhanced branding control and consistency across Storyboards. While color palette configuration was previously available for individual charts (see these release notes for more info), in Storyboards you could only select colour palettes previously created in Explore. This update allows administrators to define and manage colour palettes in Admin > Branding, making it easier to apply a Primary Palette company-wide or customize palettes at the Storyboard and individual chart levels (similar to what is possible in Explore). This new framework puts the creation of colour palettes in an admin space like branding, however individual Storyboard designers can still make their own individual colour palettes in a specific chart if they want to. For more details on configuring and applying Chart Color Palettes, refer to the User Guide. (ref 20245)
- The drag-and-drop functionality in chart color palettes has been improved with a visual indicator to clearly show where items will be dropped. This enhancement makes reordering colors more intuitive and user-friendly. (ref 22449)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- To improve consistency in the Design tab, "Metric Options" has been renamed to "Metric Style" for Pie and Funnel Charts, aligning with other visualization settings. A new "Legend" section has been introduced for Funnel Charts, moving the Legend Horizontal, Legend Vertical, and Legend Max Height settings from the General section to this new location. (ref 23197)
- We have fixed an issue where the red border indicating an error on input fields was not displaying due to a recent change. Required fields, like the Featured Storyboard card title, will now correctly show a red border when left empty. (ref 23282)
- We have made an enhancement to support subtitles when pinning a tile to Home Page. (ref 21754)
- We resolved a bug with forecast notifications being displayed when changing chart options then submitting a new prompt requesting a forecast in One AI Assistant. (ref 3671)
