Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 23 July 2025.
User Experience Improvements
- In the last release the Waterfall Chart was delivered as a beta feature. Since then we have been tweaking and enhancing it including the following improvements:
- We've added Dynamic Text (beta) support to Waterfall Charts which means you can use dynamic references like {metric[n]name} and {dimension[n]name} in your chart titles and subtitles, ensuring they automatically update with your data and filters. (ref 24412)
- We have added Axis Scale Break to Waterfall Charts, found in the Design tab's Axis section. This feature allows you to visually compress large value differences on your axis, making charts with varied data points much clearer and easier to interpret, while preserving the accuracy of your underlying data. (ref 24259)
- We've fixed an issue in Waterfall Charts where hovering over legend items would incorrectly display chart elements in grey when a custom color palette was applied. Now, your charts will show non-hovered series with reduced opacity in their original custom colors. (24613)
- Stacked labels in Waterfall Charts are now centered within each bar for clearer, more accurate data interpretation. (ref 24475)
- In general charting news, we have added options to control the vertical and horizontal gridlines with options to customize the thickness and color too. Gridlines can help improve readability and provide clarity in your data visualizations by providing context by showing where values lie on the axis, they help guide the reader across the chart reducing cognitive load when reading values, and they help structure the visual space without overwhelming the data. (ref 24511)
Data Processing Improvements
- Not everyone might use the Site Validation feature of One Model, but it provides a deep level of insight into your instance configuration and areas for general cleanup with changes to data model, metrics, dimensions etc. This release we updated the Site Validation message for Datawarehouse Relationships with the same Rank and Path so it now shows the path. This will make it much easier to adjust the rank of relationships so the desired path can be used. (ref 20038)
- Thanks for the feedback from everyone who has tried out the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) (launched in beta last release). It wasn’t running for everyone, but we patched a few fixes over the last couple of weeks, so it should be working for almost all customers. Here’s a new help center article for reference. Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We've fixed an issue when using the Chart Color Palette in the Storyboard Define panel where the popup color picker for first three colors were mispositioned and cut off. Now, all color selection overlays display correctly when customizing your charts. (ref 23874)
- We fixed a bug that would affect the “reverse legend order” option when the custom chart legend was turned off. (ref 24743)
- You might not have seen this one, it was fairly subtle, but we fixed a bug with the labels on Sankey Charts that caused them to continuously reload. (ref 24683)
- We fixed an issue where the Save button in the Home Page Settings panel appeared incorrectly due to default image assignment. It now only enables when actual changes are made. (ref 24688)
- We added consistently formatted icons for each of the capabilities in One AI Assistant so it’s easy to identify what you’re looking at. Capabilities include Visualizations, Storyboards, and Answers. (ref 3962)
- Support for Time Models in One AI Assistant in regions outside of the US has been improved in this release. The assistant was relying on static lists of Time Models that could become outdated in non-US datacenters, which is no longer the case. (ref 3090)
- An improvement was made to topic navigation in One AI Assistant Answers. Prior to this release it was possible to be directed to a specific answer when selecting a topic to see a list of questions related to that topic. (ref 3981)
- We addressed a bug where it was possible to receive Storyboard results in One AI Assistant even when the prompt did not include the words "storyboard" or "dashboard”. (ref 3977)
