Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 10 December 2025.
One AI
- Optional web search capability is now available for Analyze and Chat in One AI Assistant. Web search magnifies the power of the LLMs behind Analyze and Chat by allowing them to search the web as part of their reasoning process. The benefits of web search are:
- Complete up-to-date information - go beyond the data the model was trained on for better accuracy and access information real time
- Sources cited with hyperlinks - easily verify information by visiting sources
Here are some examples of how web search enhances the assistant:
- With web search enabled, Analyze will allow you to compare data on a site to public benchmarks or other public information and the response will cite sources with hyperlinks. Without web search enabled, Analyze will not perform comparisons to external data.
- For Chat, it's about making it a more powerful research assistant by giving the model a tool to use when reasoning. Also, citing and verifying sources is especially important when performing research. (ref 4178)
- The One Model Help Center is now available to Chat in One AI Assistant as a tool for answering questions about the One Model platform. This enhancement is closely related to web search in that the assistant uses web search to access the help center. An advantage of this approach is that information is always completely up-to-date. The LLM is aware that strict accuracy is required when answering these questions, and hyperlinks to relevant articles are provided.
Enabling Chat web search automatically enables Help Center access but it can also be permissioned separately for those who do not want to enable full web search. In this scenario, the assistant only gets access to the help.onemodel.co domain. (ref 4075)
User Experience Improvements
New in beta - KPI Tile
- We are excited to announce the launch of our new KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Chart for Storyboards. The KPI Chart is designed to give you a powerful, at-a-glance view of key metrics, showing current status and performance against previous periods. Key capabilities include
- Primary Metric Value, Change Indicators and Chart Styles
- For users with access to One AI Assistant features, the KPI Chart is fully integrated with Auto Insights and Custom Insights (Analyze). This allows you to generate AI-driven commentary and analysis directly on your KPI tile, providing deep context with minimal effort.
This feature is currently available as ‘Closed Beta’ so if you are interested in trying it out, please contact your One Model Customer Success representative.

New in beta - Share Storyboard with an Individual User.
With Share Storyboard with a User, you can now share Storyboards with exactly who you want, regardless of the recipient’s role while still respecting data level role-based security restrictions under Data Access Roles. This flexibility enables quick, focused collaboration, better feedback loops, and higher-quality outcomes before going live to a broader audience. Data Processing Innovations
- It's now possible to see the Feature Flags for both Processing Scripts when showing them in the Comparison view (ref 26146)
- Users will now have to go through the Comparison view for Processing Scripts in order to Promote their Scripts to Production. This will help teams working on Processing Scripts, as it will be easier to find changes that have been made in the Production Script that might not have been included in the Script being promoted (ref 25534)
Data Source Improvements
- We've upgraded how you add and connect new data sources! To ensure all our users have immediate access to the latest beta connectors and a growing library of data sources, we are replacing the old dropdown menu with a comprehensive Data Source Pop-up Selector.
What's New?
Previously, certain beta connectors were only accessible to internal users who had to manually enable a feature flag. Now, the new Add Data Source pop-up is the default experience for all users, offering a clear, organized view of all available connectors. This change supports the rapid expansion of our data connector ecosystem, ensuring new connections are immediately available to you (ref 26064)
- A new checkbox, "Remove staging tables from the data warehouse," appears when deleting a delimited file , JSON or XML, under a Data source. When the option is ticked, tables defined in the file will get deleted. The schema for that data source will be preserved (ref 26033)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We've updated Sankey Charts to improve their visual consistency. Data labels now use the new standard styling, and general tile settings have been standardized to match other visualizations in the suite (ref 20895)
- We have made improvements to the hover tip in Storyboards to make your hover tip clearer and easier to read. It is available in basic charts, pie, Sankey, waterfall, funnel and scatterplot charts. (ref 26110, 26191, 26192, 26229)
- We fixed a saving error that occurred when filters were applied to a Waterfall chart, specifically when the filter and breakdown dimension were the same. Saving and filtering now works reliably (ref 26418)
- We resolved an issue where selecting a deep hierarchical dimension node (like a Level 4 Org Unit) via the search bar resulted in an incorrect "Unknown" value showing in the filter chip on the Define panel. Selected hierarchical filters now display the correct node name (ref 26394
- We resolved an issue that caused duplicate dimension fields to appear in Storyboard Define. This fix ensures the Time dimension is not duplicated when switching to chart types like Pie or Funnel, and prevents duplicated dimension fields from appearing in the Scatterplot editor (ref 26389)
- We have fixed an issue that caused the filter panel to close prematurely. Users can now select and deselect multiple filter options within Storyboard Define without disruption (ref 26336)
- We've fixed an issue where the font color for metric results in List Reports was not applying the custom color defined in the "Text Link Colour" branding setting (ref 26361)
- Fixed an issue where for Fact, Dimension, and Model tables, the Override clause wasn't correctly adjusting the Datatype, and the Except() function wasn't removing columns from existing (ref 24954)
- We implemented a fix in Storyboard filters where filters would fail to apply if the dimension node was selected using the search function. This fix was patched to Production on the 13th November to ensure that filters apply successfully and consistently regardless of the method used to select the node (ref 26358)
