Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 18 March 2026.
User Experience Improvements
- We’ve updated the messaging in Storyboards and the Define Panel to be more helpful when you're working with large sets of data. Instead of the 'Node list truncated' warning, you’ll now see a clearer message: 'List too long (1,000+). Use the search bar or filters to find specific nodes.' This warning appears when a single level in a hierarchy has more than 1,000 items, making it obvious that the list is capped and giving you a quick tip on how to find exactly what you're looking for (ref 26279).
We also revised the 'Query too large' warning to make it clearer when you're looking at an incomplete dataset. The old message has been replaced with: 'Data limit reached; results incomplete. Refine or export query for full accurate results.' This update ensures you always know a display limit has been hit, so you’re aware the data on screen is incomplete and can take the next steps to get the full, accurate picture (ref 26188).
- Query Engine Optimization: We’ve updated Explore and Storyboard queries to automatically filter out ‘True Blanks’. These were empty records for employees positioned above a selected hierarchy level that previously appeared as unfilterable ‘Unknown’ nodes. For more information refer to Dimensions and "Unknowns". (ref 24603)
- Following the Query Engine updates, the Expand & Collapse functionality in Storyboard List Tables is now out of Beta. Users will notice a cleaner interface where expansion only occurs for actual hierarchical data, eliminating the empty ‘Unknown’ nodes for a more intuitive navigation experience. (ref 27247)
Previously: Expand and Collapse List Tables with True Blanks
Now: Expand and Collapse List Tables without True Blanks
- The following updates are specifically for our KPI Tile Beta participants. These improvements focus on data accuracy, faster performance, and better tracking as we continue to refine this feature.
- We have updated the Diff (Number) to improve clarity for percentage-based KPIs. Previously, when a metric was a percentage, we displayed a standard number without a unit. To better distinguish absolute change from relative change, these values will now be formatted using pp (percentage points) (ref 27079).
- We’ve introduced caching for AI insights within Storyboard KPI Tiles to significantly improve dashboard load times and responsiveness. When an insight is generated for a specific KPI tile, the result is now securely stored for 24 hours. This ensures that subsequent views of the same data load instantly, rather than triggering a new AI generation (ref 26626).
- We’ve updated our Usage Statistics to provide better visibility into how users interact with AI features specifically within Storyboard KPI tiles. The Usage Statistics Article has been updated with the new event definitions for StoryboardInsightsGenerated and StoryboardAnalyzeGenerated (ref 26899).
- We’ve fixed an issue where dimension filters were being dropped when switching a visualization to a KPI Tile in Define (ref 26853).
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We have fixed a small alignment issue in List tables where change indicator symbols (+, −, ↑, ↓) would misalign or wrap incorrectly when a tile was resized. These indicators will now stay properly positioned next to their numeric values regardless of the tile size on your Storyboard, ensuring your data remains clear and readable even in smaller layouts (ref 26788).
- We’ve resolved an issue in the Storyboard free text editor where alignment settings (left, right, and center) were not being applied correctly to text blocks (ref 25905).
