2026 August 19 - Release Notes

Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the  product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 19 August 2026.

User Experience Improvements

Charting

• We've added an option to control the text size and colour of Basic Chart legends. The setting sits with the chart's legend options and applies when Custom legends are turned off. (Ref 29387)

Coming soon: the One AI Assistant is getting a new home in the September 16 Release

• The One AI Assistant will soon move from the slide-down overlay to a docked panel on the right of the One Model product. This won’t change the core functionality of the One AI Assistant, e.g. building visualisations, getting responses in pre-curated answers, searching for Storyboards, Chat and Analyze. What changes right away is the improved usability of having the assistant open alongside your other work in One Model. Analyzing a tile in the Assistant is a great example of how this has much better usability.

• User access is unchanged: users who can see the Assistant prompt today will now see the icon to open the dock. We will also be delivering some cool new features, e.g. the 'Summarize a Storyboard Page' action prompt. More details closer to release. (Ref 29065)

Data Integration Innovations

• Major version update for Oracle HCM API Connector:  We enhanced our API support for Oracle HCM in the previous release, but it missed inclusion in the release notes, so including it here:
  • We added support for Oracle HCM 26C in the API version dropdown. (ref 29451)
  • We also added support for OAuth Client Credentials authentication in the Oracle HCM Cloud API connector. (ref 29450)
• Workday extracts now support the Human Resources > Get_Academic_Appointment_Track_Additional_Data operation. A limitation in the ingestion pipeline previously prevented data being extracted from this operation. (Ref 29295)
• Incremental database loads no longer fail when a source column's type widens between loads. Redshift handles casting between some types on its own; this fix covers the cases where it doesn't. (Ref 29419)

Data Processing Innovations

Data Destinations

• Data Destination runs using the Database Tables file type no longer error when no underlying tables have been selected. You now get a clear message explaining what's missing. (Ref 28699)
• The Show Data Destinations button on the Data Loads page has been replaced with Go To Data Destinations, which now takes you straight to the Data Destinations history page. This resolves an error some users hit when trying to view destinations from a run. (Ref 28959)
• The Add Data Destinations UI has been updated. When adding a new Data Destination, you now see the same cool look as the add Data Sources option, so both look and work consistently. (Ref 28939)

Processing Scripts

• Fixed an issue where a user could unintentionally promote a Processing Script containing a validation error to Production. This could be done by introducing an error in one tab, but then promoting the same version from another browser tab that did not contain the error.  (Ref 28704)
• Where a Processing Script uses current_date, the exported SQL for a Data Load now shows the actual date value that was used rather than the current_date token, so it's clearer what the load actually ran with. (Ref 29104)
• Fixed an issue where promoting a large script for which there is a large number of different versions could error. This was caused by the server loading all script versions and running out of memory. (Ref 29261)
• We found additional cases where Processing Scripts could error during a Redshift maintenance window and have now handled those as well, extending the automatic retry behaviour introduced in the previous release. (Ref 29486)

Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed

• We fixed an issue where tiles pinned to a Storyboard from the One AI Assistant required a manual page refresh before they appeared. Newly pinned tiles now display immediately. (Ref 29274)
