Prerequisites: Familiarity with exporting a list report, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel
IDs and other data pieces in One Model may show leading zeros on screen, but when a list report is exported to a CSV, those zeros go missing.
This is due to Microsoft Excel behaviour, but there are steps you can take in newer versions of Excel (2023 +) to retain the zeros. There is no setting in One Model to retain the zeros in the CSV.
In Excel, navigate to File → Options → Data → Automatic Data Conversion, where you will find a setting to "Remove leading zeros and convert to a number." By deselecting this checkbox, the issue is resolved indefinitely for the user across all CSV files, including those from other sources. Additionally, a setting exists to alert you whenever these conversions occur during the CSV loading process.
