Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the  product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 16 September 2026.

User Experience Improvements

One AI Assistant

A new home for the One AI Assistant. The Assistant has moved from the slide-down overlay to a docked panel on the right of the screen, opened from the Assistant icon in the navigation bar. 

Everything the Assistant does is unchanged: Answers, Visualizations, Insights, Storyboard navigation, Analyze and Chat all work exactly as before, with the same configuration and the same permissions. 

What is new is that the Assistant now sits alongside your work instead of on top of it. What this gives you straight away:

• The panel stays with you as you move between Storyboards, pages and other areas of One Model, so your conversation is not lost when you navigate.
• It initially opens at about a third of the screen width. You can then resize it to suit your work. Drag the panel edge to give more room to the Assistant or to your Storyboard. 
• You can pin a chart or table from the Assistant straight to the Storyboard you are on.
• You can analyze a tile side by side. Choose Analyze in the Assistant from a tile’s three-dot menu, and the tile loads into the panel in Analyze mode and is highlighted on the Storyboard so you can see the two together.
• Suggestions appear when you open it. Page-specific suggestions and your organization’s example prompts now appear in the panel, grouped under “On this page” and “Examples”.

We are also releasing a new capability for the Assistant in this release. You can now get an AI summary of an entire storyboard page. Just press the “On this page” button titled “Summarize this storyboard page”. This is in Beta and turned off by default; your administrator can grant access through the Application Access Role. Other general updates to the One AI Assistant

• The Discover tab is now hidden for visualization types that do not support it, such as List Table and Scatterplot, instead of showing an empty panel. (Ref 29062)
• Analyze requests that took longer than two minutes were stopped before they finished, and the Assistant showed a message suggesting the prompt could not be run and should be changed. The prompt was usually fine, the request simply had not been given enough time to complete. Analyze requests are now allowed longer to run. (Ref 29455)
• Pinning an Assistant result to a Storyboard page you have open in Modify mode no longer discards your unsaved edits. Previously the tile was saved immediately and the Storyboard reloaded, silently dropping any changes in progress. The tile is now added as a draft at the end of the page, you stay in Modify mode, and the new tile is saved along with everything else when you save the Storyboard, or discarded if you cancel out of Modify mode. Storyboard Charting Update

• Line and Spline charts can now display data labels as percentages, or as values plus percentages, matching the option already available on Column charts. Each point’s share is calculated against its own series total. Existing charts are unaffected until you change the label option. Note that forecasting is automatically disabled on any chart using a percentage-based label, as the two are not compatible. (Ref 28798)

Administration Updates

• When registering an MCP client under Admin > Integration > MCP Clients, you can now choose how that client sends its credentials. This lets you connect AI tools that use the header-based method, which some clients select by default and which previously could not complete the connection. These options are “Basic Authentication” and “POST Authentication”. Existing registered clients continue to work as before. You are also able to modify this method on a client you have already registered. (Ref 29594)

• Terminology update - when creating a new Data Access Role, the Copy options now refer to Storyboards rather than Dashboards, matching the terminology used elsewhere in the product. Behaviour is unchanged. (Ref 29747)

Data Integration Innovations

SuccessFactors API Connector

• Connecting a SuccessFactors data source has, until now, required either an account password or a customer’s private key so that One Model could authenticate on their behalf.
• One Model is now able to generate the key pair. A new SuccessFactors Key Configuration section on the Company page lets an administrator create an RSA key pair and self-signed X.509 certificate, view the current public certificate, and download it to register in SuccessFactors as an OAuth client application. 
• Once this is set up you can select Use Self-Signed SAML Assertion on a SuccessFactors API data source, which switches it to SAP's OAuth 2.0 SAML Bearer Assertion flow and hides the Secret Key and Require Secret Key Confirmation fields: One Model signs the SAML assertion with the private key held against the company record, so the private key never leaves the platform and no password is ever exchanged. Oracle API Connector

• Endpoints that appear more than once in the Oracle 26C API data source configuration can now be configured individually. Previously a single unauthorized endpoint could stop an API extraction from completing. (Ref 30006)

Data Processing Innovations

• Fixed an issue where Processing Script validation could reference columns and column datatypes from an earlier version of a file. (Ref 24883)
• Fixed the Site Validation message reporting that a metric references a dimension that does not exist, so that its action now takes you to the correct page. (Ref 28771)
• The One Model Database Loader now requeues a message when a Redshift connection attempt times out, for example while the cluster is undergoing maintenance, instead of failing the message outright. Connection timeouts are recognised as a transient condition, so affected loads are retried automatically rather than needing to be rerun. (Ref 29973)
