Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the  product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 30 September 2026.

User Experience Improvements

One AI Assistant

• Drill-through now works consistently across more charts and tables. With drill-through enabled, some charts and tables did not respond when you clicked into them, even though the same chart type worked elsewhere in One Model. Drill-through now works on geo maps and pie charts generated in the One AI Assistant, matching how those chart types already behave on a Storyboard. It also works on list tables and secondary tables, including basic charts and key values, which previously did not respond on some Storyboard pages. (Ref 29477, Ref 29125)
• When you open a Storyboard tile using Analyze in the Assistant, the Assistant works only with the data in that tile. If you asked something broader, the response told you it could not see your wider One Model data, but not why or what to do next. That message is now clearer. It names the tile you are analyzing and points you to AI Mode for questions about anything else. (Ref 29917)
• In Admin > One AI Config, the Example Prompts section now follows the same permissions as the configuration sections beside it. Administrators will see and manage example prompts for the capabilities they have access to. (Ref 28667)

Storyboards

• Storyboard Settings now shows the Category field as read-only, with helper text confirming Category is set or updated in Sharing. This applies to both the Storyboard Library and the in-Storyboard Settings panels. Storyboards that have not been shared also now show their category as Unshared Storyboards, replacing the older Unpublished Dashboards wording. This is a label change only. (Ref 29920, Ref 26053)

Administration

• Three older administration pages have been retired now that their current versions are fully in place: the Data Access Role columns page, the Application Access Roles page, and the Exports page. Each has been replaced by a newer page that has been running alongside it, so there is no change to what you can do or to any of your existing configuration. If you have a saved link or bookmark pointing at one of the old pages, update it to the current page. (Ref 28015, Ref 29971, Ref 29267)

Data Processing Innovations

Processing Scripts

• Fixed an issue in Modular Processing where using "select *" on a data source table would be processed every time, instead of only when data was updated or a filter on current_date or getdate() needed to be updated. Expect one larger processing run immediately after the upgrade as affected definitions settle, then normal behaviour from the next run onwards. (Ref 29513)
• We improved the "Promote to Production" step so that two users cannot promote different scripts over each other’s changes. Historically if User A started a review before User B started a review, but User B completed their review before User A completed theirs, then User A would overwrite User B’s changes without realising. Now, if User A promotes over User B’s changes, they will get an error telling them to review their changes against User B’s as well. (Ref 25691)

Site Validation

• We have enhanced our Site Validation check to look for orphaned records that may occur on time-based relationships, such as between fact tables. This will help you track cases where records in one table do not successfully join to records in another table. (Ref 27025)

Platform Development

• Redshift Driver Upgrade - Amazon is retiring the software component our platform uses to connect to the data warehouse. This work moves all of our services onto the current, fully supported version ahead of the deadline. The benefit is continuity and reduced risk: customers keep receiving security updates and vendor support for a critical piece of our data infrastructure, and we avoid the outages or compliance gaps that come with running unsupported software. It also modernises the foundation these services run on, making future upgrades easier. One Model customers shouldn’t notice any impact from this, but given it is a significant part of our platform we wanted to let you know. (ref  OM-28811)

Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed

• Two One AI Assistant options no longer depend on how a Storyboard address is capitalised. Summarize this storyboard page and Quick Pin were both unavailable when a Storyboard was opened from a lower-case web address, with no message explaining why, even though the Storyboard itself displayed normally. Both now work regardless of how the address is written. (Ref 30104, Ref 30185)
• Menus, trees and dialogs such as the Insight Library now use One Model’s own styling on Explore and Custom SQL, matching how they already appear on newer pages like Org Charts and Data Destinations. Sizing, spacing and highlight colours are now consistent wherever these controls appear. The Actions button on Org Charts has also been restyled to match the icon buttons used elsewhere in the product. (Ref 29869)
• The confirmation message shown when you register a new MCP client under Admin > Integration > MCP Clients has been corrected. It previously referred to a Next button that does not exist on that screen, which made it unclear whether a value could be supplied later. The wording now matches the buttons actually available.
