Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 14 October 2026.
User Experience Improvements
One AI Assistant
- Customise the prompt placeholder text in One AI Assistant. Administrators can now set the placeholder text that appears in One AI Assistant's input box, with separate text for each mode. Use it to give your users more targeted guidance or to match your company's language. You will find the new Prompt input placeholder setting under Admin > One AI Configuration > General One AI Assistant Settings. Each placeholder can be up to 200 characters and cannot be left empty. Any mode you do not change keeps the One Model default text, and Restore Defaults resets all placeholders to the One Model defaults. (Ref 30140)
Storyboards
- When setting up a Storyboard Notification, you can now type to search for the right Storyboard instead of scrolling the full list. The dropdown filters as you type, which makes a long list of Storyboards much quicker to work through. (Ref 30128)
Charting
- Set the text colour of the KPI tile change indicator. KPI tiles have a new Text Color option under Design > Change Indicator. It controls the comparison text, such as “vs. last quarter,” which previously always appeared in dark grey and could be hard to read on dark backgrounds. As with the Key Value text colour, you can choose Default, Branding, or Custom (enter a hex value). Existing tiles keep Default and look the same unless you change the setting. The increase and decrease indicator colours still control only the arrows. (Ref 30022)
One AI Machine Learning
The new Time to Separation recipe is now available in One AI! As our first time-to-event recipe, it uses survival analysis to help you understand not just who may be at risk of leaving, but when that risk is most likely to emerge. The recipe models separation risk across multiple time horizons, helping teams identify patterns, understand what is associated with higher or lower risk, and take more targeted action.
There is no separate permission required: anyone with the CanAccessOneAIMenu application access role can create a model, just like with our other One AI recipes. Check out the guides for creating your model and understanding your results, or catch the Time to Separation webinar if you missed it. Time to Separation is still in beta, and we're excited to hear your feedback as you start putting it to use. (ref: ON-4175)
Data Integration Innovations
- In our 2026.06.10 product release we released new ways to connect to Google platforms via Workload Federated Identity. In this release we have added an enhancement for the Universal Connector and CSV Connector data sources that can now authenticate to Google Cloud APIs, such as BigQuery, using a Google Cloud service account key. (Ref 30303) To do this:
- select GCP Service Account Key as the authentication type
- upload the JSON key file provided by your Google Cloud administrator, and enter the OAuth scopes the connection needs, for example https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery.readonly for read-only access to BigQuery.
- The key file is checked when it is uploaded, and only the details needed to connect are kept: the service account email, the key identifier, and the private key. The private key is stored encrypted and is never shown again after saving. One Model uses the key to obtain a short-lived access token from Google and reuses that token until it expires.
- To rotate a key, upload a new key file and save; scopes can be changed without uploading the file again. Only JSON key files are supported, not P12 files, and this authentication type is available on the Universal Connector and CSV Connector only.
Google Workload Identity Federation (Help Center Guide Here) remains the recommended option where it is available, because it avoids long-lived keys.
- Universal Connector data sources now support date arithmetic on the ProcessedTo and CurrentTime keywords. Some APIs only return data up to a fixed number of days before the current time and reject a request that runs right up to it, which previously meant adjusting variable dates by hand before each run. You can now express that offset in the configuration itself, using a modifier such as CurrentTime:-3d when defining a variable, or a reference such as {starting_date:-3d:yyyy-MM-dd} inside an endpoint template, to add or subtract days and optionally reformat the value. Existing configurations without modifiers behave exactly as before. A modifier applied to a value that is not a date, or an offset applied to ProcessedTo while it is still defaulted to the start of time, fails immediately with a clear error rather than running with the wrong dates. Data Processing Innovations
Processing Scripts
- We fixed an issue where some One Model specific tables (known as Filled Tables) were processed every run, not only when the relevant Data Sources were updated. These tables now rebuild only when their underlying data changes, which shortening processing runs when the Data isn’t updated. (Ref 29864)
Site Validation
- Site Validation now runs noticeably faster on sites with large slowly changing dimensions. The self-join queries behind the validation checks have been reworked, so the page returns results more quickly where these dimensions hold a lot of history. No configuration change is needed. (Ref 27027)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We fixed an issue on the Chart Color Palette page in Admin where two pop-ups could appear on top of each other. If you edited a palette and then opened its actions menu, or moved to another palette without saving, the actions menu and the unsaved changes warning overlapped. Only the unsaved changes warning now appears, and the actions menu opens cleanly once you have saved or discarded your changes. (Ref 30145)
- Switching bar charts to horizontal no longer causes an error. On some Storyboard tiles, changing a bar chart to horizontal bars caused the error “cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'style'),” and the chart stayed vertical. You can now switch these tiles to horizontal bars without the error. (Ref 29829)
- Storyboard Notifications now use a single time picker. The separate hour, minute and second boxes have been replaced with the standard One Model time picker, with tighter validation that prevents an invalid time being selected. Other fields in the same forms and dialogs have been updated to the current design system at the same time. Existing notification schedules are unaffected. (Ref 27464)
- The Export button is back in drill-through for all chart types. When you drilled through on certain charts in Define, the Export button was missing. This affected pie charts, tables, funnels, geo maps, Sankey charts, waterfall charts, and KPI tiles. The same problem affected pie charts, geo maps, and tables in One AI Assistant. The Export button now appears in drill-through for these charts, as it already did for bar, column, line, and single value charts, for users with export permission. (Ref 30131)
