Filters applied in the storyboard filter panel stay applied when you move between storyboard tabs. That holds whether you use the tabs at the bottom of the storyboard or a tile linked to another tab.
Some storyboards have a contents or landing tab with links to the other tabs. If filters reset when someone clicks one of those links, the link was most likely added as a text hyperlink, not as a tile link.
Why this happens
There are two ways to link to another storyboard tab, and they behave differently.
| Link type | Where you set it up | Filters kept? |
| Link Tile to Storyboard | The link icon in the tile header | Yes, the same as clicking a tab |
| Text hyperlink | The link button in the text editor's Design panel | No, filters reset to the storyboard defaults |
A text hyperlink is a standard web link. Clicking it reloads the whole page, so the storyboard opens fresh with its default filters. A tile link moves to the other tab inside the storyboard, so the filters you applied carry across.

How to keep filters when linking between tabs
To keep filters when someone follows a link, use Link Tile to Storyboard instead of a text hyperlink.
- Open the storyboard and switch to Modify mode.
- On the linking tab, select the tile you want people to click.
- Make sure the tile header is visible. The link icon only appears in the tile header.
- Click the link icon in the tile header and choose the storyboard tab to link to.
- Remove the old text hyperlink from the text editor so there is only one way to navigate.
- Save the storyboard.
