Release Notes - 2024.08.07

Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the  product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 7 August 2024.

Admin Improvements

  • Embedding One Model Storyboards into other platforms is an awesome way to support data driven decision making by putting data in the hands of decision makers where they work.   We have introduced a new configuration setting under Admin > Company > Embedding Options called Grid Breakpoint Value. This setting allows administrators to specify the pixel value at which the layout of Storyboard tiles switches to a single column when embedded in an iFrame. By default, the breakpoint is set to 768px, but it can be adjusted to meet specific embedding requirements. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in maintaining the desired tile layout across different screen resolutions. For more information about embedding check out our help center guide(ref-19887)

User Experience Improvements

  • The Beta tag has been removed from Custom Legends for Basic Charts and Pie Charts and now they have been officially moved from Beta to GA.(ref-20778)
  • We have made some further improvements to Pie Charts Custom Chart Legends Grouping (ref-20318)

Data Processing Improvements

  • We added an "Are you sure you want to delete" dialogue to Data Destination tasks, as some users found they might click the Delete button accidentally when they tried to change the configuration of these tasks. (ref-16198)

One AI

We made a number of improvements and bug fixes to the Commute Time Augmentation in this release.

  • We made "traffic" and "return trip" optional settings for each Commute Time augmentation. The default for both is currently "On". While controls will be added to the UX in a future release, these options can currently be toggled off/on using the include_traffic: False/True and include_return_commute_time: False/True Advanced Configuration keys on the Add or Edit Augmentation screens. This change was made in an effort to reduce transactions since One Model can make a limited number of requests to Mapquest yearly. (ref-3355)
  • We now geocode each postal code only once per run to reduce transactions with Mapquest. (ref-3360)
  • We changed the default traffic date to a week prior to the day the Augmentation is run, since current day traffic returned is not as accurate as past traffic. (ref-3432)
  • We resolved a bug with manually entered "Leave At" values not being honored due to a formatting issue. (ref-3452)
  • We resolved a bug with blank country settings not correctly defaulting to US. (ref-3451)
  • A bug causing the values returned in the time_formatted columns of the results not to tie out with the time_seconds columns was addressed. (ref-3432)
  • We learned that "Arrive By" and "Leave At" times were being treated by Mapquest as UTC times so we changed these to use local time. (ref-3432)

Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed

  • We fixed an issue with the Storyboard “Define” dropdown menu being cut off on the right side by adding padding to allow proper display while maintaining vertical scrolling. (ref-20737)
  • We fixed an issue where files that are uploaded may not be included in a Data Load because of transient errors in AWS.(ref-17352)
  • We fixed an issue where Data Load Files may not get included in new Data Loads because old Data Loads were left in an unexpired state. (ref-19504)
  • We addressed a bug in One AI Machine Learning where setting a leakage_performance_threshold override was causing errors on run. (ref-3352)
