User Experience Improvements
- Introducing Storyboard tile subtitles! Now you can make your Storyboards even more engaging by adding and customizing the text style, size, and color of your tile subtitles. Easily configure these options through tile style templates in Admin > Branding > Storyboard Tile Style Template. (ref 20930)
- Related to the new Storyboard tile subtitles described above, you also have the option to show or hide the subtitle by clicking on the show/hide icon in the tile while in Modify Mode on a Storyboard. (ref 21989)
- Now you can add and rename X Axis titles for Basic Charts. Check it out on the Design tab of the Visualization Settings panel in Storyboards. (ref 21111)
- We’ve optimized the homepage navigation to improve performance. After editing the homepage, clicking the back button now uses a quick reload, eliminating the need for a full page reload. (ref 21767)
- Annotations can be repositioned with drag and drop while on the Describe tab, but cannot be repositioned when you are on any of the other tabs - Define, Design, Discover. (ref 22062)
- Annotations can now be displayed on exports to PowerPoint. (ref 21860)
Data Processing Improvements
- We've added some warnings in Processing Scripts to discourage users from creating Data Model Relationships that use SQL Functions. Removing these functions from Relationships will reduce the amount of processing that needs to happen in the database at Query time, and therefore improve query performance. (ref 19907)
- We've also added some warnings to our Processing Script validation that will appear if a user configures a Relationship with an OR statement. This is designed to encourage Data Engineers to design the Data Model in a way that will promote better query performance for queries run in the UI. (ref 19960)
One AI
- We have added a notification in One AI Assistant to inform users when a chart does not support forecasting. Previously, forecasts were simply prevented from running on unsupported data. This update ensures users are clearly informed when forecasting is not available for certain chart types. (ref 21657)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We fixed a bug where the Exports page was showing multiple page headers after our newly improved main menu bar was released. (ref 21890)
- We also fixed an issue where Error Messages that appeared in Site Validation may continue to appear there even after the underlying problem had been addressed. (ref 21286)
- We've resolved an issue where non-admin users without edit permissions could see the pencil icon to modify the homepage, despite being unable to take any action. The icon is now only visible to users with the appropriate permissions. (ref 21621)
- We have resolved an issue where metrics appeared as "Unknown Metric" in the Design tab after using Run & Preview in the Define Query. Now, the selected metric is correctly populated in the Design tab. (ref 21699)
- We fixed a bug where clicking on a chart in the Define panel was rendering metric information below it (ref 3591)
- We fixed a bug where text updates on Storyboards were not being saved from the Describe tab. Now when you click Update on Storyboard, your changes are properly saved. (ref 21613)
- We fixed an issue where the background on the menu pop up was linked to the incorrect color variable. (ref 22034)
- We addressed a bug with forecasts on exactly linear datasets causing an exception and not displaying (ref 3564)
