Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 2 September 2026.
User Experience Improvements
Charting
- Area and Area Spline charts now use the same default point styling, customization options (Shape, Size, Border Size, Hover Size, Hover Border Size) and hover behaviour as Line and Scatterplot charts, including support for default chart styles. Existing charts with custom point styles are unaffected. To bring existing charts into line, reapply your default chart styles. (Ref 25649)
Storyboards
- Insights are now supported on Funnel, Sankey and Waterfall visualizations, completing the rollout across all Storyboard tile types. Use the Describe tab to add Free Text, One AI Insights, or Analyze content beneath the chart, with the same styling and permission controls as other tiles. (Ref 26369, 26370, 26371)
- You can now pin a chart directly from the Define tab, without leaving Define or overwriting the chart you're currently editing. Choose to pin to the current page, an existing storyboard, a new storyboard, or the Insight Library. Use Pin to save quietly in the background, or Pin and go to jump straight to the destination. This brings Define in line with the pinning experience already available in Explore. (Ref 29270)
One AI Assistant
- Export as Chart is now available for pie charts in the One AI Assistant. The option previously appeared only for basic chart types, so pie charts generated in the Assistant couldn't be exported. (Ref 28380)
- Chart image export in the One AI Assistant now follows your existing image export permissions, aligning it with Storyboard tiles. If users previously exported images from the Assistant and no longer see the option, an administrator can grant them the image export permission. (Ref 28960)
- We resolved an issue where the Drill Through Metric permission was not consistently applied to visualizations created in the One AI Assistant. Drill Through on Assistant-generated tiles now follows the same permission checks as Storyboard tiles. (Ref 29293)
Coming soon: the One AI Assistant is getting a new home in the September 16 Release
As flagged in the 19 August release, the One AI Assistant is moving from the slide-down overlay to a docked panel on the right of the One Model product. Its capabilities are unchanged - building visualisations, pre-curated answers, content navigation, and Chat and Analyze - you'll simply be able to keep the Assistant open alongside the work you're doing.
Access is unchanged: users who can see the Assistant prompt today will see the icon to open the dock. We'll also be delivering some new capability alongside it, including the 'Summarize a Storyboard Page' action prompt. More details closer to release. (Ref 29408)
Data Integration Innovations
SuccessFactors API Connector Enhancement
- If the connection to SuccessFactors silently drops mid-request, SuccessFactors extractions could hang indefinitely. Previously an extraction could stall with no error logged, waiting for a response that was never coming. The HTTP client now recycles pooled connections periodically and applies a timeout to each individual request attempt rather than to the extraction as a whole, so a dropped connection is detected and retried instead of stalling the run. This is a stability improvement with no change to extraction behaviour or output. (Ref 29755)
Data Processing Innovations
Data Destinations
- Fixed an issue where a Data Destination could remain in a “Running” status after the run had actually stopped. Runs interrupted part way through are now picked up and resumed rather than being left as “running”. (Ref 28981)
Site Validation
- Fixed an issue where the Delete and Delete from all Storyboards actions in the Fix Invalid Dimension Nodes dialog did not work. These actions remove references to Dimension Nodes that are used in Storyboard query filters but no longer exist in the Dimension. Both actions now complete as expected. (Ref 29334, 29631)
Processing Scripts
- Fixed a typo in the Feature Switches panel on the Processing Scripts page. It now reads “effdt” not “eefdt”(Ref 29493)
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- Minor cosmetic change, we removed the “V2” from the Oracle API Connector in the Data Sources screen. (Ref 29781)
