Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 28 October 2026.
User Experience Improvements
Storyboard Sharing
- The Shared with column now shows counts instead of names. The Shared with column in the Storyboards library now shows a summary count, for example Roles (3), Users (5), in place of the expandable list of role and user names. The Show All option has been removed, so role and user names are no longer visible in the library. As before, the Shared with column is only visible to users with the CanShareStoryboards or CanShareStoryboardwithUser permission. (Ref 29427)
To see who a storyboard has been shared with, open the ... menu for that storyboard in the library and select the Sharing tab. This lists the roles you have permission to share to. If the overall count is higher than the number of roles listed, the storyboard has also been shared with roles outside your own sharing permissions.
The Storyboards library has also changed in three related ways:
- Search: library search no longer matches role names. Searching by name, category, owner, modified date and description works as before.
- Group By: Shared with is no longer available as a Group By option.
- Sorting: select the Shared with column header to sort storyboards by their total share count (roles plus users).
- Sharing is now cleared when a storyboard is unshared, copied or backed up. When a storyboard moves to Unshared Storyboards, it no longer keeps its previous sharing settings, and its Shared with column shows Roles (0), Users (0). This applies whether the storyboard was unshared, copied, or created as a backup when replacing storyboard content. (Ref 29426, 28962)
Copying a storyboard or creating a backup does not change the original storyboard’s sharing. When you share an unshared or copied storyboard again, the Share dialog starts with nothing selected, so you choose roles and users from scratch. Storyboards that were unshared before this release still show their previous Shared with counts.
Administration
- Improving the user upload with stronger checks when matching users by Person ID. When the User Key is set to Person ID, the Verify step now marks a row as an error when its Person ID and email address point to different people. Person IDs and email addresses must both be unique, even when Person ID is the user key. (Ref 30058)
The affected cases are:
- The row’s Person ID doesn’t match any user, but its email address already belongs to an existing user.
- The row’s Person ID matches more than one existing user.
- The row’s Person ID matches one user, but its email address belongs to a different user.
These rows are not processed. Each error explains the conflict so an administrator can review and correct the data.
- Clear message for a Data Access Role that doesn’t exist. If you open the Columns page for a Data Access Role that doesn’t exist, for example from an old link, the page now shows a message that stays on screen and explains the problem. Previously, a notification appeared briefly and then left a blank page. (Ref 30087)
One AI Assistant
- Background images are kept when analyzing Key Value tiles. Previously, when you selected Analyze in the Assistant from a Key Value tile’s menu, the visualization the Assistant generated didn’t include the tile’s background image. The background image is now carried over, so the Assistant’s version matches the design of your original tile. (Ref 28951)
Data Integration Innovations
- In our 2026.06.10 product release we released new ways to connect to Google platforms via Google Workload Identity Federation. In this release we have added an enhancement for the Universal Connector and CSV Connector data sources that can now authenticate to Google Cloud APIs, such as BigQuery, using a Google Cloud service account key. (Ref 30303) To do this:
- select GCP Service Account Key as the authentication type
- upload the JSON key file provided by your Google Cloud administrator, and enter the OAuth scopes the connection needs, for example https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery.readonly for read-only access to BigQuery.
- The key file is checked when it is uploaded, and only the details needed to connect are kept: the service account email, the key identifier, and the private key. The private key is stored encrypted and is never shown again after saving. One Model uses the key to obtain a short-lived access token from Google and reuses that token until it expires.
- To rotate a key, upload a new key file and save; scopes can be changed without uploading the file again. Only JSON key files are supported, not P12 files, and this authentication type is available on the Universal Connector and CSV Connector only.
Google Workload Identity Federation (Help Center Guide Here) remains the recommended option where it is available, because it avoids long-lived keys.
- Greenhouse Harvest API v3 is now available as a ready-made data source. You can now set up a Greenhouse data source using the Greenhouse Harvest API v3. Select the existing Greenhouse tile in the Applicant Tracking & Recruiting section of the Add Data Source window to open the Universal Connector with a ready-made Greenhouse v3 setup. (Ref 25246)
The setup includes common recruiting data such as applications, candidates, jobs, interviews, offers, scorecards and users. Incremental loading is already configured, so after the first full load, later loads only pull records that are new or have changed. To connect, enter the client ID and client secret from your Greenhouse Harvest v3 API credentials. The token URL is already filled in.
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
General
- Fixed an issue where some buttons in the product displayed taller than intended. Buttons now use a consistent standard height across the application. This one is pretty minor and you might not even notice. (Ref 30299)
Storyboard
- Users who didn’t have all-column access in any of their Data Access Roles sometimes got an “Internal Server Error” when they opened a Storyboard containing an Org Chart tile. We have made some improvements so these Storyboards load normally. You don’t need to change any roles or permissions. (Ref 30240)
SQL Explorer
- Snappier switching between result tabs. Switching between result tabs on the SQL Explorer page is now faster by 0.3 seconds per tab. (Ref 30321)
- Fixed an issue where the Database Navigator panel could unexpectedly start scrolling upwards if you dragged a column across and then moved your cursor to the top of the screen. (Ref 26517)
- Fixed an issue where some SQL error messages on the SQL Explorer page repeated a word, for example “Expected Expected an expression”. (Ref 24701)
- Annotation borders are now kept in exports. Fixed an issue where the borders on chart annotations were missing when a storyboard was exported to PowerPoint or a chart was downloaded as an image. Exported annotations now match how they appear in One Model. (Ref 24907)
- The Is Empty conditional formatting rule now highlights every blank cell. In table and list reports, the Is Empty rule now highlights all blank cells. Previously, some blank cells were not highlighted, mainly in multi-metric reports or when a dimension was pivoted into columns, because the row existed for another metric’s data while this metric’s value was missing. The rule now treats all blank cells the same way. (Ref 30395)
- Fixed an issue where opening the Notifications section under Preferences showed an error for users who had the CanConfigureDataStoriesNotifications permission but not the CanViewStoryboards permission. (Ref 30449)
