Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 23 June 2021. You can see the full 2021 release schedule here: https://help.onemodel.co/en/articles/3134972-one-model-product-release-calendar.
User Experience
The next step in our journey to empower Storyboard users with analytical insights we have added a new, more visible, indicator in the UI that indicates whether there is an analytical insights feature available on a particular Storyboard tile. Users that have the relevant permissions (see the 2021.04.14 product release notes for more information on this) will now see a Lightbulb icon appear at the top right of the tile, which will let them run the applicable insight, e.g. Forecasting, Correlations, Line of Best Fit.
Additionally, as foreshadowed in our 2021.05.12 product release notes we have added more options to the Discover Tab when editing a Storyboard. You will now see options for enabling Correlations or Line of Best Fit to run automatically for users when they open the Storyboard as well as an option to specify which particular correlation you might like to run. By default One Model will automatically determine the best correlation based on the shape of the data, but there might be a valid reason to specify a particular correlation, so we added this option for Storyboard designers.
You will start to see the Lightbulb icon appear in more places in the future - stay tuned!
Improvements to Data Pipeline Processing
-
We added an enhancement to Data Destinations to support multiple Data Destinations running at the same time within a single instance. We previously used one staging area within each instance. The result was that multiple Data Destinations using the same table names in the Processing Script, and running at the same time could error while they tried to use the same table. We now use separate staging areas for each Data Destination, which keeps the referenced tables separate. (ref 7713)
Bugs Squashed
-
Depending on the metric and chart settings in a Storyboard, hover tips weren't always correctly displaying the correct format and decimal places etc. This has been corrected in the latest release. (ref 8772)
-
Some users were seeing an error when their One Model login was first created as part of their initial Single-Sign-On to the application. Their account was being created properly, but there was an incorrect URL redirection as part of the new user creation process, which we have now corrected. (ref 8893)
