User Experience

New Storyboard Table - Beta Release

  • In the last release we announced the beta release of our new Storyboard Table. In this release we have fixed a few minor issues and added some more functionality to conditional formatting.

    • Queries with no headers were not displaying in the new table (ref 9591)

    • Conditional formatting now better handles special characters, e.g. use of a comma as the thousand separator. (ref 9617)

  • Thanks to all the customers that have been trying out this new capability and for the great feedback and super positive reception - we are excited that you are excited!

  • More coming in the next couple of releases, including the ability to enable for all your users.

New Charting Capability

  • Most customers are now using our new Storyboard charting capability and we are continually refining and adding new features based on customer feedback. One small change you will see in this release is to the data labels on charts. Now when you turn on data labels we have added by default a subtle shadow effect so that the labels are easier to read no matter what the background colour of the chart is. This is particularly relevant when using stacked bar/column charts. We have also added an option to the Storyboard Design Panel to toggle this setting off for a particular chart if you like. (ref 9286)

Performance Improvements & Bugs Squashed

  • Fixed an issue where data exported via the Redshift Data Destinations wasn’t rounding exactly the same way as the end-user UI. The number of decimal places was the same, but the Redshift Destination was rounding down, whereas the One Model UI was rounding to the nearest value. (ref 9697)
