Welcome to the latest One Model product release update. This article provides an overview of the product innovations and improvements to be delivered on 15 October 2025.
User Experience Improvements
New Diverging Bar Chart
- We have introduced a new chart type, the Diverging Bar Chart, available in the Basic Chart visualization within the Define tool.
If your query meets the following criteria, a new ‘Diverging Bar’ option will be available under Design > Metric Style > Stacking:
- Two Metrics (Your query must include exactly two metrics), or
- Two Dimension Nodes (Your query must include one metric and one non-pivoted dimension with exactly two nodes selected).
This chart is perfect for visualizing two contrasting data sets.
Check out the updated article Basic Chart Options in Define in the Help Center for more information on configuration of the Diverging Bar Chart. (Ref-25283)
Filters in the Waterfall Chart
- We’ve introduced a new Filter section for Waterfall Charts in the storyboard's "Define" mode. Previously, filtering on Waterfall Charts was not possible, creating a limited user experience. We have also removed the beta label, as the visualization is now ready for all your charting needs. (Ref-25002)
Storyboard Notifications
- Storyboard Notifications - the feature that lets you set up scheduled email notifications with links to your storyboards, is now fully released. We recently resolved a known issue, and users can now schedule on behalf of other users using the ‘Proxy as User’ option in the account menu. The beta tag has now been removed, and the Storyboard Notifications Guide has been updated in the Help Center. (Ref-23924)
Data Platform Innovations
SQL Explorer
- We are proud to announce that SQL Explorer is now Generally Available! This functionality lets users run SQL Statements directly on any data within their environment for exploration or debugging purposes (ref 25555)
Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)
- We are also proud to announce that our Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) is also Generally Available! This functionality in the Admin Reports page allows users to view all of the Fact and Dimension tables within their instance, and how the relationships are defined between them, giving a high-level overview of the Data Model (ref 25555)
Data Integration Improvements
- We have implemented changes to our infrastructure to improve database loading so that customers who are placing heavy load on the infrastructure at a particular point in time don’t negatively affect other customers data loads or web application query performance. This feature dynamically controls the number of concurrent database operations, ensuring that the heavy burden of write queries and the necessary load of read queries (like those for data extraction) are always balanced. The goal here is to ensure the stability and scalability of our services, providing you with consistent and responsive performance. (ref 18609)
Platform Updates
Audit Logging
As an Admin, Security Officer, or Compliance Lead, you may need clear visibility into user activity within your One Model instance to:
- Monitor system usage and configuration changes
- Meet regulatory and audit compliance requirements
- Investigate potential security incidents
To support these needs, One Model now provides exportable Audit Logs. Audit Logs are delivered in JSON format, making them easy to integrate into your Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution or any secure platform of your choice for detailed querying and analysis.
The tables below provide details of events currently being logged and the upcoming items to be added to the audit logging capability.

New Cookie Banner Coming Soon
- To continue improving the One Model product, starting from the next release (2025.10.29) we will be using a platform level analytics tool to collect and analyze information about how users interact with the product, helping us better understand performance, feature adoption and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- As part of this, we’ll be using analytics cookies. When you login you will notice a new notification banner where you will have the option to opt-in or opt-out of the use of these cookies along with links to our Cookies Policy and Privacy Policy. There will also be an option to change these settings in the user preferences page within One Model. These cookies are used solely to measure feature usage and performance within One Model, this is anonymous and we do not track user names or email addresses, or users across sites or serve advertising.
- We wanted to introduce the notification banner for the highest level of transparency for users, but hope everyone does opt-in. Our goal is to use these insights to deliver a smoother, faster, and more valuable experience for you. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
Minor Improvements & Bugs Squashed
- We've fixed an issue where the ‘Tiles per Page’ dropdown in the Storyboard Export settings was cut off, preventing you from seeing all available options. We've replaced the dropdown with a new input field to prevent this issue from happening again. (Ref-23121)
- Fixed an issue where the ERD Admin Report would not build for companies who had never run Modular Processing. (Ref 25772)
- In light of Snowflake no longer supporting Usernames and Passwords, we've added support for Oauth in Snowflake Data Destinations. See the updated Configure Snowflake Data Destination page for an example of how to authenticate Snowflake. (Ref 23461)
